Instant Messages and Discussions

You can subscribe to just about anything in TNBC. Say you want a weekly reminder when the TNBC location is posted. Simply access your profile by clicking on your user name in the box at left, "Who's Online." Then click the "edit" tab at top, and once on the edit page scroll down and select among the following:

Private Message Settings

You can subscribe to receive an email when you are sent private messages using TNBC's Instant Messaging system. Simply check "Receive daily e-mail for unread messages."

Subscription Settings

Here you can check "autosubscribe" to be automatically subscribed to any thread you create or post a comment to. You will receive an email notification when there is a reply to a discussion you are involved in.

TNBC Newsletters

TNBC currently has two newsletters, one that announces the weekly TNBC location, and another that announces TNBC news and events. You can subscribe to either or both of these by clicking the "my newsletters" link below the "edit" tab on your user profile page.

Anything and Everything

Finally, you can click on "my subscriptions" under your account name, on the left-hand side of the screen. This will take you to a page with 5 tabs where you may subscribe to various types of content. The tabs are, from left to right, threads, blogs, categories, content types, and rss feed.

Thread Subscriptions

Click on the "threads" tab to see all the discussions you have contributed to that you are currently subscribed to.

Blogs

Subscribe to blogs you are partaking in.

Content Types

You can subscribe to receive emails when any type of content is updated on TNBC. For example, say you want to receive an email whenever there is a new posting or comment on TNBC.net. In this case you would check the box next to page. To receive news updates, check the box next to "News;" to receive notice of new TNBC locations check the box next to "TNBC Location," and so on.
