La Botana

In a city blessed to have a number of good taquerias, La Botana isn't a newcomer. But its off-the-menu entrees stand out. You'll have to ask for the specials menu, but you'll be rewarded with cactus quesadillas, mashed potato-stuffed enchiladas, burritos full of tender carnitas and slathered in bean salsa, and an excellent chocolate-brown mole. Even the standard-issue salsa that comes with chips is good here, spicy and chock full of cilantro and garlic.
