Want to make a difference in the local community by volunteering to give back? Join in as TNBC helps the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina in Winston Salem. RESPOND TODAY IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE!

Some of the types of activities we might participate in are:
Help sort and repack donated food or cull donated produce; assist with administrative/office projects; share your talents in graphic arts, carpentry or technology; volunteer at a Kids Cafe site - a program of America’s Second Harvest feeding hungry children locally three evenings a week - to prepare or help serve meals, tutor youth, conduct a school supply drive and/or assist with enrichment activities; conduct a food drive at your workplace or in your neighborhood

When you respond, please mention what type of work you might like to do... I am shooting for a Saturday or week night in mid-June. thanks!

I just spoke with Harriet, the volunteer coordinator at Second Harvest Food Bank and she is excited for our participation this summer! They have one volunteer weekend day per month so we are signed up for August 11, 9 am -noon. They do not yet know what we will be doing but your help will be appreciated no matter what the need is!

PLEASE RESPOND direct to me at mhundle@hotmail.com ASAP if you want to participate so that I can let them know how many of us will be representing TNBC on August for our first volunteer event!
