Global Warming - Myth or Fact?

Michelle and I just watched this movie and I must say that it was quite shocking to learn of some of the evidence of global warming. I had previously read Michael Chrichton's "Fear," which basically says that global warming is more or less a myth. Quite convinced by the well supported arguments in that book it was an eye opener for me to have the tables turned once again. I guess it all goes back to how the data is presented. Who would have thought Al Gore could inspire via Hollywood?

You ever watch a movie about some global calamity or cultural injustice and afterwards feel spurred to action, only to wake the next morning and have half forgotten about it? I've experienced several of these short lived "saving the world" moments, most recently with the movie "Hotel Rwanda." However, with "Inconvenient Truth,"
I've decided that this is one where it's easier than most to take action (compared to say the war movies where you want to go out and slaughter all the bad guys after leaving the theater). I can help, for example, by simply screwing in a different light bulb.

What's your 2 cents on global warming? Myth or Fact?

Chime in, whether or not you've seen the movie, and share your thoughts on global warming.

For those who haven't seen

For those who haven't seen the movie I encourage you to rent it or add it to your Blockbuster queue. Maybe it's even playing in the old $2 theater? Then cruise on over to ClimateCrisis.net and download the "free educational guide" for tips on ways you can help. Finally, tell a friend. That's one way to spread a message, and is the reason I posted this topic to begin with.

Inconvenient Truth

I just read Alex's post and wanted to make sure it was crystal clear that we are talking about the movie An Inconvenient Truth because I want everyone to know exactly what they should be doing right now...

RUN not walk to Blockbuster and rent An Inconvenient Truth TODAY and then take personal efforts to make a difference. It may seem too big of an issue for any one of us to impact but as a whole we can make a difference and, as Alex said, your light bulb choices are just the start!

Esp in USA one person can

Esp in USA one person can make a lot more difference than a person in any other country because we consume a lot more energy and produce a lot more trash per person than anywhere else (among other things).
